How does the 90-day reporting work with a NON-O marriage visa extension in Thailand?

I wish I read this post earlier it could have saved me 2000 baht anyway they did stamp something on my passport stating the 2000 baht and the offence is not doing my 90 day report I guess what happens next or in future is it a really big deal to have such a stamp on the passport?
