yes but that’s when you want to have a VIP-visa or partner visa indeed. Not when applying for a work visa.

I don’t really agree with that. As a TEFL-teacher it shouldn’t be that difficult to get a work permit.

And as you know, the cost of living is really very low in Thailand.

If it was Japan, then of course it would be logical to have €20.000 upfront.

But I guess that question has been answered already….400.000 Baht, which is a bit over €10.000.
