There's no major problem to drive/own a motorbike or car. You can use your IDP, but by law you need to have a Thai license if you stay longer than 3 months. Insurance prices depends on many things, but it's not a fortune. Check the link for some basic information.

Quote: "Extension application can be submitted within the last 30 days of the current visa/extension."

Maybe not the best idea to go too late. I did my last one within the last possible week, was no problem.

They will ask you first to buy a 30-day-extension, from that you can apply for the marriage extension. Have a look...

So you will have one day overstay... worst case this will cost you 500 Baht, that's it. But normally they will not even ask for that if you explain the reason. Just go to the airport on 1st of december, everything will be fine. And don't worry about the blacklist, it's not meant for "cases" like yours... :-)

As others mentioned before... you'll get a kind of "certificate" from your hotel. If you have this paper you won't have any problem to travel. Ask them about the exact date and time for check out. 10 (full) days means normally 11 nights, so you should be okay to leave on 10th. It depends on how the count the 29th... as day 1 or day 0.

I guess it depends on your hotel what they want to do. In my knowledge there is no official order from government to shorten the time in quarantine or SHA+, so it's up to the owner what he is willing to do. Looks like some give refund, some don't.
