If you can wait a bit... the 60 day visa exempt should be official soon. Plus one 30 day extension inside the country and you'll have your 90 days.

Even then... I had my money here in my bank years before I started with retirement visa. So... never had any "transaction from outside" in the bank statement when I applied. Don't kill me for that... I don't know why they never questioned it... :-)

Phuket definitely don't ask where the money came from. Not for the visa, not for the extension.

800k for 2 month before application, 3 month after, never under 400k.

You are right... but... the PRD announced it and then they changed it quickly... that's how it works here. And if it really should start now at 1st of August, then you can call yourself lucky if it's published in the Royal Gazette 2 days before... 😁

Or, if you can wait a little bit, you take the new 60 day visa exempt. It's expected to be active within some weeks, but no guarantee...
