I went back to UK for six months . Then tried to return for 6 weeks . I had return flight and baht cash but was still refused entry . They said I do nothing wrong but to get a visa next time . This was just to make me get a visa . I was treated like a criminal , accompanied everywhere and locked in a disused part of the airport . Deported to China first where I was treated the same . I returned to Thailand 5 weeks later but paid 5000 baht for secure entry before I travelled . The same IO met me and whisked me through immigration no questions asked .

I did 1 year 11 days doing this in 2023 . Next time I came I was refused entry and sent home .

It is such a bad system that lets 1 immigration officer decide your fate . Rules do not apply . Up to him only . Just hope he not had a bad day . You can pay 5000 baht for safe entry though if you worried .

I did 1 year and 8 days from Jan 1st 2024 . Went home for 5 months . Returned for 30 days but was denied entry and sent back home . It is not pleasant you are treated like a criminal . I would advise getting the right visa . You may get a long stay with border runs but it stays on your record .
