I was thinking of getting married in Thailand but there seemed to be alot of paperwork. Things needed to be translated and then the translations needed to be verified.

I hear what some are saying regarding a simpler ceremony, but I couldn't find it.

So in the end we got married in the UK. Then 5 weeks later we had a full blown Thai wedding, monks blessing, procession, all the Thai family distant relatives and friends. Food and drink.

We dressed in full Thai atire, changed in the afternoon to western dress then casual for the evening.

I had a great day and my wife had the wedding she wanted.

Then the following day I planted the ceremonial banana plant and sugar cane. Followd by a week on the beach in Koh Kood.
