You should have applied for a 90-day visa that makes it a lot easier. You can do that before you travel My wife did it for me She is Thai

I like the rooftop pool at the flipper hotel. Not very expensive good view of the bay. Nice breeze up there.pattay does not.hsbe much of a beach. A few rows of chairs and umbrellas lots of shade so if you want sun hit the rooftop pool.
