I got a full annual insurance cover with a company card cover wise £35 for the year multiple trips worldwide cover took it out especially for going to Thailand We're quite a good payout and protection

as I said we did it online 14 days later I went into the embassy with the originals showing them them and then they gave us the certificate and she charged my bank card for today they gave me all the money back the certificate was translated into Thai and this was used to purchase the married licence which was in Thai a week or so later I was emailed the translation version in English maybe it was just my lucky day

thanks for the info Phil however not sure if you work there my question was I did attend we did all the paperwork and the lady took payment Which was £75 what I was asking was why just a month and a half later have you given me it all back ?

the trouble was Steve it was the British embassy in Bangkok, it was taken originally in Thai, but maybe they were right the person was correct when they said may have took the wrong price and refunded it all not just the part, because I've seen it say it's supposed to been £50, we'll have to wait & see if my wife gets the letter at her house lol

ok well yes that's one solution I mean to be honest I have to give it to a person to do the translation never got it back and the translated thing was what was used for the licence but I suppose that is a an idea possibility why I got it back lol

again you misunderstood this well I've actually got the 6,000 to cover her coming for the month to the UK hopefully we can extend it a bit then I will make preparations to retire and go and live out there with her she has six square miles of farmland but they're getting income from but she also has her own profession job Which is where she said she could probably employ me to be a chauffeur so yeah I maybe want the lucky ones who's got lots of options a job role a wife and 56 so I can go for the retiring visa lol I just need to get our bloody government first to allow her to come and see the rest of the family

thanks for your advice however my wife is quite famous over there she makes a good living in her job and as much as it is very rare she wants me to give up work and come live out there with her, I just want her to come and meet family & friends who could not come to our wedding in Thailand I told her from day one that after having a slight injury I gave up my engineering and do a very light not well paid job although it's true as you say traditionally and her family were a bit upset that I was not going to do a Dowry. In the end she told them she wanted to marry for love and not finance whether this is true only time can tell let's hope I found one of the good ones 🙏🙏

sorry to hear that but thanks for replying and giving me some timeline idea I was told if you try to do it yourself they do tend to reject it and yet the same papers that got rejected when eventually you have to pay out to an agent tends to get stamped?

hi I did try to explain I only gave him the money that she will needed for her monthly payments like the car payment because she spent the month preparing and then looking after me and my family the agent told her was she needed to show lots of money then suddenly they changed that I had to show three thousand and then it jumped up to four thousand I'm not 100% sure I thought she was going for the married one then I was told she was going for the holiday one as people are suggested extending it a later date when here so technically shes not ask me for any more money only what the agent has said I think she is genuine probably one of the few reading from this lot I am not prepared to send any money and I found aware just having my banks statement originally does not give them away of taking the money out of mine. Hopefully it will all come to light in the next week to whether she's genuine or not as hopefully tomorrow if not Monday she will be taking the application in to get the visa so I will update everybody then
