Transfer money from your savings to your regular account, then ask the bank to issue you a statement and provide that.

Yes I opened one with no issue with my DTV on my second day here at SCB. I shared details yesterday when someone else asked.

disagree as two banks I went to confirmed they are now allowing a bank account based on having DTV. One couldn't help as they didn't receive instructions yet at that branch and the member of staff didn't know how to do it.

The other opened me an account with no issue.

How can I open a Thai bank account with a DTV Visa?

SCB, but you will need to register for a Thai sim card in your name which has your passport linked to it.

Also once you have a Thai bank account it's much easier to get tickets for places cheaper. For example not pay tourist price but local price.

I have managed this at a few places by showing my DTV along with my Bank Book/Card
