I got mixed up with something else. I have the 1968 IDP which is normally 3 years,

But mine is only valid for 2 years as my DL expires before the 3 year mark.

For reference mine was issued at the Post Office, the expiry is written on it along with the DL no

It's a IDP and you get it from your home country. If from the U.K. you get it from the post office. It has a max of 5 years or less dependent on when you DL expires.

For example if your DL has 3 years left, your IDP will only be for 3 years as they are linked.

im from the UK and you can have a IDP for 5 years or less if your DL expires before then, as they are linked.

In my case my IDP is valid for 2 years as that's when my DL expires.

so clearly your US bank account wasn't sufficient for when you were living in Russia then. And proves my exact point! You are a dullard. 🤦‍♂️

the world is bigger than the US and all banks are different and come with pros and cons.

Some cards from some banks are accepted more than others, some banks charge different rates, revolut is not available for every person in any country etc etc

Are you going to tell me a Russian bank account is going to be accepted as much as a US bank account based on the current situation.

So for many people who might not be as fortunate as yourself and are choosing to spend a significant amount of their time in Thailand it would make sense for them to have a Thai bank account.

Like I said the world is bigger than the US, and like true form you show how ignorant you are. I would like to see you live in as many countries so easy with a Russian bank account.

exactly and this is what people are failing to grasp.
