Tod.... I wish that I'd had access to your sage advice when I settled here 13 years ago. But since you started I have benefited many times by real and accurate information you provide. I have often wondered what you get out of it given your huge investment of time and effort... . altruism at it's best. The internet and Facebook are filled with falsehoods, irrelevant opinions and out of date information..... making you all the more needed in your role. I am sure that I am but one of very many that are grateful and hopefully they will take a few minutes of their time to show it now.

I checked that website and I am quite sure it is NOT the one I used. I recall being impressed with a drop down menu for selecting your tambon rather than having to remember the multiple names by district.

Joseph Graham first time lucky!! I will post results of my next attempt. I tried in years past and never succeeded on their old website so was hugely surprised at my success as I was in Mae Sot and would have had to do a border run just to refresh my 90 day or chance the mail.

when I last did mine online with Chiang Mai Immigration while traveling in Thailand on my motorbike, I got the acknowledgement in the evening and next morning had an emailed confirmation from an officer. I was very impressed with the revamped website and the service!!

I believe you will find that the bankbook has to be updated to the date of the bank letter which typically shows the account balance. It has been reported by some that the letter has to go to Immigration on its issue date......

will they accept affidavit from consulates other than USA? In my case Canada. Is a new affidavit required annually?

The ask:thailand community, consisting of multiple Q/A groups with over 100,000 members, powers this platform. It is not an official government resource. Our members actively contribute to this resource, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee its complete reliability. Assistance to travelers is provided as a community service.
