Not really. Why do you do that? I've got buddies on 12-month "married to Thai" visas. Just one visit to Immigration every twelve months to extend. No border bounce required.
Mate absolutely. Wat Sirindhorn is a must see as well. And because Ubon is far flung from the Bangkok/Phuket group, it makes common sense to explore the area in conjunction with a border bounce. A buddy of mine went out that way a few years ago, specifically for a bounce, explored the area and ended up finding a lady who would eventually become his wife (so I guess there's some downsides 🤣🤣🤣)
Enjoy where you live. Fly to Ubon Ratchathani. Hire a car for a few days. Drive out to the Mekong River, visit Pha Taem National Park at 4.00am to see the first sunrays hit Thailand, visit Khong Chiam to see the two-coloured river where the Mun and Mekong meet. Take a few days to enjoy great food and cheap accommodation. Then visit the border market at Chong Mek before walking through the crazy tunnel under the car park into Laos. Have a coffee and pick up some duty free wine before wandering back through the tunnel into Thailand to get a new stamp. Can never understand why people behave like frightened rats scampering to the border and back, instead of savouring many things otherwise missed.
