I know if you’re a US citizen and you’re not working in Thailand at all you’re just receiving your Social Security check on your pension direct deposit into your Thai bank account then you’re not paying any taxes on it. You’ve already paid taxes through the Social Security administration, but you still need to file taxes in the United States but most likely you won’t pay anything if you’re only income is Social Security after the age of 67 correct me if I’m incorrect, but I believe I’m mean I’m correct.

Thailand is an amazing place just not a sex hub. I agree with a lot of people that are not everybody goes there to be a whore anyway you can go 60 days you an extension for another 30 while you’re still in the country and then you just leave the country and then you can get another 60 days stamp and then you can get another 30 days extension so technically you can stay there for six months with no paying extra Visa cost if you plan on staying more than six months then yeah you need to get a tourist visa which will grant you another 90 days for 200 and something dollars. I forget how much but you can technically stay a whole nine months without spending a lot of money and the paperwork minimal you just need to have at least I believe don’t quote me but I think 20 or ฿40,000 proof of income

That’s the problem with Thailand bureaucracy no other way for me to put it. They can choose to deny somebody just because they want to. They can decide to deny your documents just because they want to therefore is much better and worth it to have an agency take care of it for you. I don’t know if the agencies have to pay a little bit more to the embassy. I have no idea, but I noticed as much easier when I used to live there I got rejected for my visas all the time, and I got tired of trying to do it by myself so I hired an agency and I didn’t get rejected anymore. It’s worth the money. Trust me they would deny my documents say that the stamp is not exactly where it’s supposed to be. It’s quarter of an inch off or the signature is not exactly where it should be across the line a little bit. Trust me. It’s all about extra money cause once you pay your fee if they reject you, you gotta pay the fee again.
