ohh yes I agree ... some offices will push for it ... Songkhla in my case - some will not ... heard that the visit was not required by some offices, 76 provinces work independently and have their own requirements in some cases ...
great answer ... for the funds, actually it's 90 days ... the first 60 days is the proof of funds ... the last 30 days is the time it takes to process the extension ... during the processing period .. it's better to keep the funds in the account , ... one more thing to keep in mind .. they normally visit the family during this 30 days of processing, during this visit, they will check the property and take some photos of the whole family and have a little bit of chat with every member of the family ... better be ready for such visit, because it makes the whole process much more easier for them to decide wither to grant the exemption or request more documents.. happened with me more than once and I was granted the exemption with no question.
Ok here is what i got from the OP ... he is on 1 yr multi-E visa but NO 1 yr marriage permit or extension - whatever you wanna call it - ... the 60 days extension of stay can be granted - in his case - normally no issues, the opposite office he mentioned is for anyone holding a 1 yr marriage permit/extension and wanted to do their normal 90 days reporting ( no need to bounce out/in through the boarder ) ... that office have nothing to do with people with multiple entry visas who should bounce out/in to reset their stay period in the kingdom ... but thanks for pointing out this new place for people to save their valuable time šš»šš»šš»
Thanks David ... actually i was asking in regards to the mentioned Visas not extensions ... extensions are entirely different ... but thanks any way š
Thanks šš» a million Robert, i do appreciate your reply ... been going through all that what you mentioned, as iām currently under marriage status - 1 yr Extension - for the time being, just wonder if any gentleman here have experienced both visas who would crystalize the difference ... Thanks again šš»
James Siegel i agree to that, also ... trying to speak thai with officer might grant you a denial of entry ... there is something else the OP not clearing regarding his friend denial of entering the kingdom ...!
