Stick to 3 months and not a day under. Immigration will turn you down. Happened to me with the marriage visa application. Was off by one day on the 2 months requirement, had to leave (went to Bali. It's overrated asf) and just returned yesterday visa exempt stamp. Will apply for marriage visa again in like a week. They said I should be Gucci.

I should also add, make sure you fill out the Digital arrival card online before you try to re-enter Thailand. It's free.

I've done Bali and back. 3 nights. However, I would not suggest going if you're trying to save money. I spent around 63,000 baht.

Here in Nonthaburi I've paid nothing each time I go for a residence certificate. The wait time for pickup is a week.
