From my understanding, you’re required to get insured by a Thailand insurance company. In my jaundice view, it’s all part of the scam that the government probably has their fingers in the pot. The problem could be solved really easily about their fears of transmitting the virus from outside, by having individuals tested at the airport when they arrive and then put into seclusion for 24 hours until the test results get back, and if the test results are positive put in quarantine for 14 days, and if test results negative they go free. Just like they’re doing in Iceland. It is irrational if I tested negative at the airport in Thailand, that I should have to buy Coronavirus insurance. So I would not be surprised if the government gets a cut from every insurance policy
