Australian citizen applying to the Australian consulate... DTV approved in 4 days. I too am a company owner and with my cover letter explained that I do not keep funds sitting in a low interest bearing savings account but rather have spread through a range of shares etc. I did sell enough shares to satisfy the minimum cash amount in the bank and put the cash into an account, but only a few weeks before applying showing and explaining where it came from which is evident I have held in excess of the minimum amount for a few years now.

The strangest thing I got asked? Was to provide an employment certificate or employment contract. I started, own and run my own company but I know they need something to put a rubber stamp on so I simply went online to a free certificate template website and made my own employment certificate stating 'my name ' is employed general manager and director of my business name, signed by... My name. It was approved that afternoon 😊
