I applied one week earlier (17th) to the Chicago consulate and still waiting on approval šŸ™ƒ. At least the status of my application has changed from: ā€œPending Document Checkā€ to ā€œPending Approvalā€ but that was like 2-3 business days ago

 same thing just happened to me. I did have an extension as well, but they didnā€™t ask me any questions & I didnā€™t ask them.

Same exact thing happened to me 5 days ago. Thought they were putting me into the system as a ā€œdonā€™t let back inā€. Although mine happened at BKK not DMK.
