Hi Lester,,I live in Nong bua lamphu, have for many years. We have our own fb group if you'd like to ask any locals if they've ever been told same has you.
Or, if you need any help in the area, you can direct contact me.
thanks Brandon. My sister is coming for a 2 week holiday. She's already on red alert ( lol) travelling on her own. I'm pretty sure carrying the equivalent to £500 UK will add an extra, burden for her. My sister will enter with a return flight ticket, an address to where she will stay in Isaan, with us. She's never been before, ever. I assume she'll get a straight through, but, will she.
is that 20k thai baht, or equivalent in a foreign currency ? Is this for literally, everyone, even a short holiday. I personally have never had 20k on me on entering Thailand . Is it a last resort to stop someone for the 20k ?. From what I gather, the world will be cashless in the future, then , I assume it will change. I have a family relative arriving soon, I'm sure she would rather not carry that amount of cash, but, if it's a must, I'll tell her. Thanks for any info
I've been using wise for several years now. Only in the beginning did I have an issue with the FT. Apparently, if you contact them,,they " flag" your transaction and it seems to work. Every transaction I do now comes with the FT. Unfortunately, if I ever need money quickly, it don't happen, it's always the same slowish route, which is usually ar18 hours ish
and always check it's a foreign transfer on you Bangkok bank app, it can be a bit of an issue if it don't. You can always ask wise to make sure they do that foreign transfer for yer
wow, I didn't realise you had to have an onward flight with a Non o, thanks for that info. I heard it's getting difficult to open a bank account, although I have 2 or more friends in our area that got their Non o here with new bank accounts. All new to me, I wasn't Aware that you could officially get a Non o here until late last year. Previously, as far as I remember, you had to leave the country . Cheers Stuart
