josh is 100% right. I did it from UK. You can be her sponsor. Google what infor you need. She will have to email you some that's required. I tried once while in Bangkok I was financially sponsoring her. She was turned down for not earning enough money.

I wish you luck. I'm only living in UK for health reasons with my Thai wife. Otherwise I would sell up and live in Thailand. Much better life. Good luck hope all goes well.

on a tourist visa speaking English is not an issue for consideration. On a spousal visa it is. You have to do an English speaking and listening test called A1 IELTS. On part one of visa for 2.5 years then 2.5 years part two A2 test. I know going thru it now. Expensive.

TB test not required. Spousal visa only way. 2.5 yrs with A1 speaking test. 2.5 years with A2 speaking test total 5 yrs then test life in UK test. £150. £150 life test £60. Going thru it now. National health surcharge .visa. Solicitors extra. Total with Solicitors £

Alternately fly her to France ferry her to England. Demand her human rights as your wife with immigration.

Stay away from banks notes must be perfect. Try exchange booths along the road.
