If one is able to qualify - LTR is THE best option. (10year visa, renewal at 5yr point only). You’ll need to research it. A Brit friend of mine recently got it.

A- is extremely rare in Thailand. 0.1% of population. 5% in Australia. If you have some please share/donate ❤️

Admittedly my experience is a little stale but my understanding is if the Cat B visa is awarded because of and linked to a work permit, as soon as that job is finished/terminated then your visa only has 7 days validity after that. I.e. “get a new/different visa or get out”. Happened to me that way.
