You can work self employed without a letter of any employer. And my knowledge is that it is $50, and the yearly extension is in that range, too. And work permit is since a few years included in the visa. But: I might be wrong. Just random internet knowledge :D

It is just nonsense. People are scare(d)(ing) others about ED visa. No idea why. If you have several ED visa about fishy agents, then you might have problems later.

But an Elite Visa you just buy for money. It is basically a scam by the Thai government. You pay for your 5 or 10 year visa, and that is it. No one cares about your history of other visa/visa xempt.

You need proof of "onward travel". That does not mean flight and does not mean "return". Airlines ask, because they have to ship you home at their costs if you get denied entry. Immigration asks all the time. But only people who never got asked write about it, strange isn't it?

A bus or train ticket, or a refundable ticket or a $40 ticket to Vientiane is enough.

Not helpful. You perfectly well know you were supposed to have proof of onward travel. And you perfectly well know that if the officer asks you and gets angry he can deny your entry. So? Why post your "lucky" anecdotes?

She is not a digital nomad. She is a tourist. And LTR visa are nearly impossible to get. The requirements are just "nonsense".

Not after one Tourist visa. Stop scare mongering. If you get denied entry then it is most likely a combination of reasons. And not just that you "were to often here". @ReNisha Nicole bringing your dog here might make "border bounces" more difficult. So check what country you want to bounce into - likely Laos? - and what requirements they have for your dog.

That would be to easy. It is much more intellectually challenging to get 100 different FB informations, throw out the good ones, and go with the wrong ones, then hand in failed paper work, and finally tear out your hair and pay an agent 😛
