There is no permission or work permit for online working what is clear because it can't exist. Never ever anyone got a problem since Internet exist in Thailand. There is no law what you can break. You don't need a dtv for working remotely, dtv makes it only easier to stay longer. But you can work remotely on a visa exemption too

Imigration officers ask random people even normal tourists questions, to find out if there is something to worry. And this all imigration officers in all country do. Why can anonymous people trough in wrong facts? Especially here when 99% of the members do not have any clue about Thailand and how it's working here in the country.
