ok I am gonna try it again. But WOW!!! what a big rock to move out of the way for any newcomers who'd like to make Thailand their retirement haven. The mind boggles!

i was exactly to this very same site. It does not state retirement reason

I just proof-checked the "e-visa" website for UK citizens . . I am struck surprised for not being able to find "retirement reason" on the site dedicated to the Non-O visa. And no mention of a Single Entry Non-O 90 days visa at all.
@Tim *******
is right. Only the site leading to "longstay" Non- O/A visa mentions "retirement" for reason

normally I do the 90-day report on the same day when I am also doing the yearly extension. However it is pure coincidence that both dates match: I enter Thailand on October 2 and leave Thailand in mid-March . . my Extension is due on January 4th. I go to Immigration on December

and apply for Extension, Single Re-entry Permit and the 90-Day report all on the very same day . .I have been doing this for the past 14 years, no probs so far

so I guess it is okay that you use the admitted from & until dates of the admitted stamp, when filing the online 90 days report., as these dates override your expired visa. Maybe the mods can clarify this
