Based on the Patriot Act you’re required to maintain a US physical address (not a po / virtual box) for things like bank accounts, brokerage accounts…etc. I use daughter’s house.

People in some cases have avoided or ignored this. Some have suffered having accesses cut off without warning, others have had no issues yet.

In the long run all it takes is one federal official to get aggressive about auditing and it will be chaos for some.

What you just said is your vet knows, where previously you said ‘your vet should know’ and that’s just not true!

I’m glad for you, YOUR vet knew. I’ve shipped animals three times and all three vets knew nothing about the required criteria for my destinations.

I’m sorry, I was not being negative. I was making a clarification of your erroneous statement. ‘A vet should have what is needed. They prepare the paperwork’ is wrong! So for other people’s benefit, I was correcting your statement. The pet owner needs to inform the vet by bringing or referencing paperwork and criteria of the destination country, go prepared. Services will provide that documentation/criteria. Never assume the vet will have a clue what is needed for any of the 195 possible counties. 🤷‍♂️

that’s not really true. Vets have no idea what the vast majority of countries require as generally no one provides them that information but the travelers who come with paperwork. 👍

For day to day cash, that’s how I do it.
