Your passport is fine.. your bank statements are not, this is the reason I’m flying to Taipei even through I’m very close to Vientiane in Udon.
People on this group suggest Vientiane require it to be in the account the entire 6 months, where as Taipei, people are suggesting it just needs to be the final balance only.
One post stated Vientiane are starting to ask people to open their banking app to confirm too (assuming people are forging things.)
The agent is definitely illegal I never said it wasn’t.. The other is more regulations that not all branches always follow so yes some get lucky and slip through hence quotation marks.. but no it’s not possible if you do find that branch that starts slipping them through please tell me!
I just honestly want to open a bank account and I have been to 15+ assorted banks now on different visa types and I’m sick of it.. I will also try when I get my DTV but will likely end up at an agent in Pattaya.
I really want access to pay by QR. even my TrueMoney wallet it’s restricted to citizens. It would save so much hassle and atm fees to “PromptPay” QR
I just replied to another comment of yours. I was recently denied on an education. Visa all the rules have changed recently… they will only accept a one year university stamp.. with lots of documents from the university.. the only way is to use an agent who knows who to pay so that’s not for nothing, because it’s not “legally” possible on a tourist Visa which DTV is
I went to all the major banks .. KBank was the only one to actually explain in detail why and that’s the reason above
the only way you’re going to open a bank account on this Visa is with an agent who has a friend of a friend that you’re paying…. The answers no, this is a tourist Visa. I couldn’t even manage to get a bank account opened on an Education Visa. (only accepting universities.)
