Not in Pattaya I have ID and yellow book and never used TM30 on return. 90 day report begins on day of return.

I have yellow book and pink Thai ID never had any problems not having TM30 when re entering. 90 day report starts day entered Thailand.

Aussie Koala 66 Depends on pre existing conditions of your health once you turn 70 medical insurance is hard to get and in most cases unaffordable. If you are in Medibank you can return to Oz if anything serious.

Try to get Yellow Tambien book and Pink Thai ID this will make it easier for future extensions.

My first retirement extension at Pattaya immigration I had to produce my bankbook in 3 months time to show funds of 800,000thb. I think it is luck of the draw for what officer you get.

Having had cancer you will probably find it hard to get affordable medical and hospital insurance here.

Jim you must be thinking OZ prices 25 years ago. Prices here are around 30% of Australia if you don’t buy red meat or imported goods. Vegemite $15 jar here $8 in Oz is my gripe.

Residency certificate from immigration then go to your district office. All documents they require have to be translated to Thai. I did mine last year and did not need certified copy of passport.
