yeah previous travel might help. My wife has traveled with me to NZ UK and many times to Schengen area and every time she has got the visa faster and a longer validation time.

My wife’s sister’s son is soon ready with his university studies and normally the university organizes practice in the US but has stopped this year! Difficult to get visa for students now because so many Thai students previously overstayed their visas and simply didn’t return back home.

If you don’t follow the rules you make it more difficult

for people following later.

yeah agree, some guidelines like that existed long ago..

but it’s obviously up to the IO to stop what he thinks is abuse of the “unclear “ rules.

exactly! If you are coming in and out for over a year, I understand you have stayed here more or less for one year? That doesn’t look like a normal tourist does it?

You said you have stayed here for over a year on a tourist visa ? You have the wrong visa! Get a proper visa and you won’t have any problems.

yeah as electronic ESTA kind of approval is soon required everywhere, it will of course cover everybody, but maybe it will be valid for a time frame and many arrivals in that period.
