What are the requirements for maintaining the 800K baht for a retirement visa in Thailand regarding monthly deposits?

In Prachuap Khiri Khan they highlighted this and asked me (politely) to make sure it's as close as possible to the same date each month (saves them scouring through statements if they're busy I guess) - but still got it none the less. I imagine they would be unimpressed if it was made up by several smaller amounts

Where are you getting 40% from - the vast vast majority of expats won't come anywhere near to the higher bands, remember you're talking about people who will drive 15 miles to get their Leo 15 baht cheaper!
