wow been using that border for the last 5 yrs constantly..even seen tour groups of all nationalities with the agents and tour officials with wads of $$ and passports for day trips and if that has stopped they must be serious..

i know what you mean but wont be crossing into Savannakhet unless 100% sure maybe go along with the first yearly extension i meet the requirements its just the multi o suited me for going out to MaeSai/ Tachiliek every 90 days which i dont mind

i have used the same visa as you for the last 5 yrs for me it suits its purpose could extend but quite happily going to Mae sai every 90 days and going to Savannakhet to renew visa i havent had any problems even when i do my report back for TM 30 ect always asked why not extend I just say not yet with a smile
