We just booked for going back to Jamaica again this year - so, we travel a bit still. We'll make it back to SE Asia. After we got caught back in the US last year, we moved to Florida. Got to admit, life here is turning out better than we thought it would. Still, missing Bangkok life...
Well, 1st time starting to apply, then the Samut Sakhon restrictions were enacted. 2nd attempt, the April '21 lockdown. Hoping the COE & quarantine requirement ends, and many businesses open back. We'd prefer to go right into Bangkok with no restrictions. We'll see what happens this time. Wife's family is in Vietnam, and we tended to bounce between Bangkok-Saigon. Family there are just now able to get out of the house after a long lockdown.
I have no idea on the DUI issue, but i'd guess no. We're looking at the O/OA visas too. Was thinking on OA, as can get almost 2 years - then we figured we'd come back for a visit, and reapply. But - I've posted some questions about the O visa. Hope to get some info.
Depends on what state you are in. In NC, had to get fingerprinted at Sheriff, then send to NCSBI. In FL, can order from FLDLE. But as above, OA visa available in the US, not Thailand. O visa, background check not required. (as I understand it)
LMG? Does your insurance pay directly to a hospital? We had US insurance that covers, but, had to file a claim. This was before the requirements changed. Think the AXA offers monthly policies that are accepted, and directly pay the hospital. We're looking to return on OA visas, and know requirements differ
My family in HCMC is, has been, and appears still will be, locked in the house for a while longer. The end of the month, maybe? No end in sight, it seems.
