Help with COVID insurance. I will be 75 next month and applied for AXA. I was told I don’t meet their requirement. No reason provided. I think Luma had same age requirement. Does anyone know of a company for us older guys? My preliminary COE was rejected because I did not provide COVID insurance info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry focuses on finding COVID insurance options for an expat turning 75, who has been denied coverage by AXA due to age restrictions. Comments suggest alternatives such as Tip Insure, SafetyWing, Pacific Cross, and LMG Long Stay, with personal experiences shared regarding policy eligibility and pricing.

Your best option may be to buy the COVID only insurance from the Thai insurer group online... Especially for those of us ages 75+

AXA states "Age: 6 months - 74 years upon the policy effective date". Have you tried SafetyWing, or maybe Pacific Cross?

Pacific Cross has also an entry age up to 75, but then it's renewable up to the age of 99 years.

Thanks! I just remembered the age limit was higher. Just a few more weeks, will be applying for a OA visa... Can't wait to get back!

I have been talking to Arawan for a couple nights. So far, she recommended Luma which would cost me

baht for the 121 days I will be there. I'd like to try and find something a little less pricey.

I am American too and know that your social security medicare will not cover you in Thailand.

I posted the link to the COVID only policy but it costs more than the LUMA Thailand policy Arawan has quoted for you. The LUMA issue age is max age 74...

What visa if any will you enter Thailand with?

And what airline are you planning to fly to Thailand on?

I have an O non immigrant visa. My flight starts Nov10 on Qatar airway, traveling with my Thai wife. I return home on March 10 so I will be in Thailand 119 days

David Rousseau had you bought Emirates Airlines they will give you an AIG Travel Guard insurance policy which covers COVID and health insurance of US $500,000 ...and meets the Thai Embassy entry requirements.. For FREE for the entire period of time you are in Thailand if you buy an Emirates Airlines return ticket.

I just plugged in 1940 (81 years old) for tipsinsure.com which I used in August to enter the Sandbox and it worked. Prices seem to have went up though, I paid about 2900 baht for a 30 day policy, this one says it's 4800.
