You'll still have to apply through the British Immigration channels, providing all the usual stuff. Bank statements, employment history, salary, title deeds to property. That's not going to change. It's all political gesturing. With the immigrant situation the way it is in the UK, do you really believe letting citizens in freely from a SE Asian country is going to be a vote-winner?
