We got out of BKK quarantine Friday. We were told to go straight home and isolate for another 2 weeks. We had a taxi take us straight home. We leave our phones at home with the tracing app.

If you do have a family here in Thailand try getting an extension on Non O but on family support.

It is possible there is a guy on YouTube called Teacher Thomas Thailand (TTT) he's been living in Thailand for 6 years. Non O extension for family support or marriage. 400k in the bank. He does it by having at least 40,000 THB per month being transferred from aboard per month without holding 400k in the account. I'm going to do it the same way. Contact him he's a fantastic guy always willing to help and no charge.

I do understand where your coming from you do get a lot of people making poor comments. I would point out that the author is also being disrespectful of the village elders that right so are scared to death of this virus. The reason why most of us come and live here is the chilled out way of life. My Thai wife and 3 year old daughter live by the sea in Rayong. We could not live in the jungle because the lack of high quality schools and I love beach sea life. I do find all expats do is complain its not the same in their county. I'm really sorry but it you don't like where you live. Go back to your own country and moan. We are farang and the Thai's don't care for sad face and empty pockets.

come on. I'm a nice family man. Some of these comments are very funny. I do believe there are 2 types of expats one is cultural and the second is budget. Those with real money and those live month to month. When I decided to come the first thing I done was planning financial. I knew a 60 I would need a 2 million USD pension pot. Anything less would lead to financial destruction in years going forward. People say money is not important. I'm afraid their's no stimulus cheques in Thailand. That why people like me love this country.
