he doesn’t LOSE his residency if he is an Australian Citizen carrying an Australian Passport… different if he was on a residency visa and carries a passport from another nationality.

my best mate lives in Rawai and has been for past 8 years and is NOT recognised for the purposes of Australian Taxation by virtue of his permanent residence in Thailand. He is in receipt of a Pension as former Military hurt on active duty.

He pays ZERO Tax on his Pension to Australia.

you read like an easy touch, if he TRULY had Political Asylum or recognised abuse at the hands of the Iranian government, his Refugee status would have been recognised by UNHCR’s representative body in Germany which is (BAMF) so after 8 years the OP returned to Iran… there in lies the TRUTH of his body of claims.

You should do more research and sit down and take notes when someone with more knowledge of the process and machinations of those trying to manufacture and manipulate the system to their benefit are at play.

it is a typical attitude of those who look for the foothold in another country as a refugee ( in this instance an Economic Opportunist ) as their Refugee status is questionable at best.

Looking at the persons profile, I see a number of red flags 🚩 as to the REAL reason they retreated from their birth country ( lifestyle choices )
