Unbelievable detailed information. Thanks a lot for sharing. Where you got all that info from, man?

Well, that wouldn’t be the problem.

The thing is: If I do it at an immigration within Thailand, they will check my history, means ex Thai wife and divorce documents. In the divorce agreement, it is stated that she is the only guardian for our son. That’s the k.o. criteria for a guardian visa here.

But I heard that at a Thai embassy out of Thailand, it might be possible to get such a NON O dependent visa with Thai child, 90 days or possibly even as multiple entry 1 year visa without showing these detailed information like divorce certificate and divorce contract...

Yea sure, but if I get married, I have to get a NON O once again, as you cannot apply for a Thai wife visa from a current tourist visa.

That‘s why I would like to obtain the NON O if possible...

@James *******
Can you keep it open for some time? I just asked Tod Daniels one last question....

@Tod ********
Proof of funds is no issue at all.

5 months would be great anyway, you think that’s possible in Malaysia as well?

How is Penang or KL different?
Frank *********
@Tod ********
Wow. That sounds really nice. They wouldn’t also check the history in my passport and wonder why I don’t extend in Thailand if the criteria would fit?

Is Penang easier or different from KL?

@James *******
I presently have a one year NON O (dependent) due to my son. Cannot extend that anymore (conditions don’t apply anymore) and have to leave the country for sure. That’s immigration words.

@Robert ******
Can you keep it a little friendly?

I don’t mix up anything.

The term „temporary“ is supposed to mean short time visa, 60 or 90 days, not a 1 year visa.

I posted very clearly that I need to leave in march. Current visa is NON O (dependent) due to my son. But I cannot extend that anymore as I explained clearly in the post as well.

BTW: The thing I suggested comes from an immigration senior officer, even he is not sure whether they will grant me a NON-O in KL or I have to go with the tourist visa. So there is no nonsense or confusion at all.

One more thing: Of course I checked the website of the Thai embassy in KL firstly but it’s not clear there as well. I also wrote them an email, they don’t have officers to reply but just automatically refer to their website with incomplete information...
