NON-O visa, Thai consulate Penang, application process

Hello guys,

my case has been discussed already. For now, I would like to know whether I need to make an appointment at the Thai consulate in Penang prior to the application process.

I believe it was necessary to do so but now I can’t find the appointment schedule on the website anymore. Also, if anybody knows, do I need 2 or 3 sets of copies of all documents? I sent an email to the consulate but no reply yet....

Thanks, Frank

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai consulate in Penang does not require an appointment for applying for a NON-O visa. It operates on a walk-in basis, but it's advisable to arrive early to secure your spot. Regarding document copies, there was no specific mention in the comments, so it's best to prepare 2 or 3 sets to be safe.

At Penang, they accept 150 applications (total) per day. Dress properly. Sometimes they refuse you to enter or apply when you dress poorly (fliplops, shorts, singlets, etc).
