B1000 for Laos Visa whether you stay for 5 minutes or 30 days

In Vientiane - Laos - Application closes about Noon 1200 - if you can get there before much easier to be confident & normally (!) 24-hour turnaround - pick up after 1300 next day - I leave Bkk on train about 2000 - Day 1 - train at border 0700 - so - visit Consulate am Day 2 - collect Day 3 - 1300 or after - good luck

Sensible advice - if you're going to stay at the Hotel or wherever & not go out you'll have no trouble - just 2 x B500 to pay - but if you are 'going out' especially at night and do hit a check in the two days you will be arrested - I did exactly as you describe - 2 days only - but I was at my usual apartment & didn't go out until taking morning taxi ride to airport
