That is currently the big mystery. People actually having the 20k baht cash on them but yet the IO doesn't give the opportunity for you to show it but then denies entry based on other assumptions and stamps "Not enough funds" as the reason even though they never asked to see it 😞

He didn't have 20,000 Baht cash to show them so he was denied under Section 12 (2) Insufficient funds. He can buy a ticket using Ukraine Airlines to wherever he wants to go from here. If he wants to enter Thailand, you can try Laos, but I don't think there is a flight from BKK-Laos on Ukraine Airlines. So you probably need to fly back to Ukraine from BKK, then fly to Laos then enter Thailand through the land border.

Why buy a re-entry permit on a 30 day? So you rather pay more money only to come back with 10 days remaining instead of just getting a fresh new 30 day stamp for free when you come back?

Because Immigration doesn't want that. You can't live in Thailand on tourist visas and immigration is cracking down on that a lot lately
Matt *******
People are only being refused entry who are living in the country on back to back tourist visas. If you go back to UK for 3-4 months then they don't have a problem with that

What was she saying about your two land crossings? Isnt that right to have 2 land crossings per calendar year
Matt *******
Actually to be fair, the person who makes that decision is NOT the Immigration Officer you hand over your passport too.... he is just an employee who checks the persons history before stamping them in and turns it over to his manager at the Immigration office they take you to. It is up to the Immigration office supervisor to make the decision whether or not to deny you or let you in based on the interview he gives you in the office where you can state your reasons why you are in Thailand for long-term

You should save the
***
land border just in case you fly into Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueng and they deny entry. That way you can book a flight to Lao or Cambodia and come in via land border

@Rahmat ******
Your extension expires on 25 Feb, so if you buy a re entry permit to keep this date valid when you come back, then you'll only have until 25 Feb and be forced to leave Thailand again. For me I just buy a new Tourist Visa before coming back to Thailand and get another 60 days
Matt *******
You don't need a re-entry permit with just 2 weeks left it will expire and you need to leave again but if you stamp back in you'll get 30 days.
