Short report on getting a 30 day extension of stay at Bangkok government complex.
-US passport holder
-30 day visa exemption stamp that expired April 13th.
-Planned to to extend in April 12th but forgot about Songkran. 4 days overstayer 😞
Arrived Wednesday at 9 AM. The line to get a ticket was maybe 3 minute wait. My number was K82 and they where at 27. Grabbed breakfast downstairs. And waited maybe another 10 minutes for my number. Immigration lady officer grumbles about two land crossings, takes my 1900 baht, and after another 5 minutes she calls my name and I have my 30 extension.
Arrived at 9 and was headed back to condo at 1030. Looks like they are still allowing you to come in on the first day they’re open if your stamp expires on a day they’re closed. As always your experience may vary from mine.
