wow, I'm shocked 😆. My experience has been the exact opposite. But once you're set up everything is a breeze as long as your bank doesn't freeze your account.
I'm from the US and you will find customer service there 1000x better than here when it comes to banks. Thats the only place I can find that US customer service is better, but its night and day better.
Kasikorn has been easy do deal with and hasn't had the same issues as Bangkok bank. But you can't predict what will happen in the future. Don't expect the same customer service you get at home. Banks here and customer service don't go together
Visa and residence certificate were required last month when I opened an account at Kasikorn. However it seems to differ at each bank and with each bank employee you talk to. Pick the bank and branch you want to use and ask them directly. You will get many different answers here
