Tod, thank you for providing such useful information. Until now I've only used the 30-day visa exempt entry stamp at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

How difficult is it to get single entry tourist visas from Thai consulates? I imagine that it depends upon the country / consulate and the nationality of the visa seeker?

Is the paperwork arduous? What are the wait times for receiving the visa after application time?
