I hope things go as planned. State Q options are dotted around BKK and Pattaya. The govt choose for you. Sometimes you need to pay bet 37k-70kBHT per room. My neice was back from Canada and sent to a hotel near Bkk.

The only news/announcement that is interesting is one that reports that Thai govt may start opening border in Sept. Heard nothing re foreign spouses. Luckily mine is in LoS with my mum whilst I am trying to get back to ext his visa.

Your wife needs to reg with Thai Emb for a special flight by govt (550Pounds plus compulsory quarantine you may have to pay for)or wait with you until Thailand is opened for biz.

From my direct exp. Im Thai stuck in UK too.

If she does not want to get a divorce yet, just don't go to any Amphur / local Registrar. Doing it through the court takes a lot longer and can be expensive. When the time is right, just make an appointment with District Chief (Nai Amphur นายอำเภอ) and meet up with ex and get it done at an Amphur.

Thank you. This is what Phetchburi IO told me, too ( but they did not say that my husband needed any insurance despite the fact that I asked about the requirements). I am just confused because many people have told me it is not possible.

I guess we will find out in August, hoping for no surprise. :)

Can a Partner of a Non-B Visa Holder Apply for a Thai Visa Based on Their Children?

Assuming they might get married in Thailand, they need to check with the district office what documents and if witnesses are required to avoid delays. If one of them is divorced, they will need the Degree Absolute at the Emb for Affirmation of Marital Status plus some District Offices need it.
