Can I Extend My Non O-A Visa Based on Marriage Instead of Retirement?

Hello. :)

Please advise:

when a non O-A visa (not an extension) is nearly expired, is it possible to apply for an extension based on being married to a Thai ( non O) instead of based on retirement (non O-A). As for the financial requirement--- 400k Baht seasoned for 2 or 3 months(?), is that 2 or 3 months up to the expiry date of the current visa (non O-A) or the date of application?

Last but not least, how soon can an application be done before the expiry date of the current visa?

Many thanks in advance. Be safe and healthy everyone :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of extending a Non O-A visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen rather than retirement when the visa is near expiration. They also ask about the financial requirement for the extension, specifically whether the 400,000 Baht must be seasoned for 2 or 3 months before the expiry date or the application date, and how soon they can apply for the extension before their current visa expires.

Thank you. This is what Phetchburi IO told me, too ( but they did not say that my husband needed any insurance despite the fact that I asked about the requirements). I am just confused because many people have told me it is not possible.

I guess we will find out in August, hoping for no surprise. :)

The Non Immigrant O-A (Long Stay) visa is sold as a visa for people over 50 years of age to retire. Out of reports so far there is no Immigration office willing to accept this visa as basis for the Extension of Stay based on marriage to a Thai National
