The world is a much bigger place than Thailand when your 19, go travel extensively, you may one day find yourself in the situation where you can't. Thailand is O.K but having the ability to flirt around SEA for 6 months a year is better than cementing yourself in South East Asias biggest nursing home on a perm basis.

I bought a block of land in Australia in October 2021. State government stamp duty was $29.000 or near B700 K. Cnts.

We built 19 years ago and still have the house. It has been helpful over the years having it, saved myself lots of money on accomodation over the years, I have saved more than it cost. No real regrets; just keep it real and remember that it's no investment and move forward accordingly. It's great to have a base in SEA if you're into exploring it.

That's awesome information, what you're talking about is very doable, not something I really thought about before, I will do some research into this. Thanks.

Thanks Kool Breeze, my question relates to my Thai wife owning a company 100% herself in Thailand just like any other Thai instead ourselves jointly owning a company?. Money and trust are not issues, I just want to retire and let my wife work, I don't really want to work at all. I just want to choose the path of least resistance by not getting involved with companies and work permits etc, So basically the question is owning a Thai company easy for Thai's or is it just when a faring joins the mix that things become onerous?

This IS called research, your reply negates the purpose of this group and is simply non-sense.
