Still don't get it, eh? NOBODY is interested in going to Taiwan for a pair of prescription spectacles. Where next? North Korea? Cuba? The Ukraine? Somalia? We are discussing the costs of spectacles in THAILAND. You ARE familiar with a country which goes by the name of "Thailand", I assume.
I'm not disagreeing with you. What would I know (ignorance being what prompted my question)? Am simply highlighting the difference between your assertion and the overwhelmingly large consensus. No offence intended, from me. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Wow. Cheap as chips perfectly describes your experience. Thanks. Pity there's no Asda, anywhere near my UK home. But there must be other similar deals available, if I shop around, I'm hoping.
Thanks. Your experience seems to be an exception which proves the rule, though. Most are saying little to no difference or that Thailand is actually more expensive.
Seems EVERYBODY has the same, or similar, tale to tell. May as well leave it until I get back home then as I can at least hopefully build a relationship with a local service provider. Thanks for replying.
Thanks. Does that include examination and prescription or do you know whether those particular aspects are significantly cheaper, about the same or more costly in Thailand than in a UK Specsavers? It's got to be "significantly" to be attractive or else I see little point in bothering to do it here rather than back home.
