Obviously you don't even know what IQ is.

The Thailand government recently complained about low IQ in Thailand. IQ has been tested globally for many decades now & the results are available online. Google is your friend.

You show your intelligence level by mentioning that there are intelligent people in Thailand as if saying you know a tall Thai & therefore it disproves that most Thais are short compared to most of the global population. Nobody has said that there are no intelligent people in Thailand, & you show your misunderstanding of the fact that IQ in a country is a general average, not that each person has that IQ exactly. The average IQ is low in Thailand though. It's just the way it is. It helps to improve things when you are honest & I would hope all people here wish the best for Thailand & Thai people. Would you hate your brother if he had a lower IQ than you? Pretty odd you cry "racism". If anything I respect those decent Thai people who are intelligent & honest with the challenging work they have to lift up their people to a better life.

In the West the decent intelligent people have obviously failed. Western governments definitely don't care one bit about their own people.

Yeah, it's all Cold War era mentality.

As many have said: we are made to "jump through hoops" to be here...

If your friend was registered online by his hotel they would see that & not ask for a TM30 proof from him.

If nobody can credibility report otherwise then it's best to assume there's no change.

New reports that are credible are always the best answer.

That's why we have to be careful to check details, such as if the person reporting stayed in private accommodation & can therefore be 100% certain no TM30 had been filed.

If in doubt it's best to make sure you have a copy, yes. Very few newby tourists would know that, of course.

I've never heard of anybody being asked for a physical copy if it's been done online (i.e. "in the system"), & it sounds dubious.

It's only in recent times that IT Square started checking if people have a TM30 registered or not, therefore it's quite possible they may have gone back to not requiring it at all. These things change. A report from somebody who has extended a visa exempt stamp & who didn't have a TM30 filed would be of value.
Jody *******
It would help the guy if anybody who has done that recently could mention if TM30 is currently required at IT Square in Bangkok.

I've hitched a lot in Thailand & most of SouthEast Asia + many other countries. In SE Asia it's not about saving money, it's about saving time. You meet a lot of interesting people. Thais say it's very dangerous to do it in Thailand, so it's not for everybody.

Here's an example:
