Peter H Bates yes they do, since January 2025. However Immigration offices have been very slow in introducing this new form of marriage into the existing rules for Marriages of a Thai man with a foreign man. I am moderating a visa advice group and have been approached by men who married a Thai partner, and have been faced with some Immigration offices that are unable to proceed a 1-year extension according to the police orders. I guess it needs some more time until they are more familar with it

Kerry Dunn correct! My office the same like you mentioned. For example they do NOT require 12 months of "bank statements". I am using the "800,000 THB" in my bank account method and I just have that "bank letter of guarantee" which confirms a 2-months seasoning of the 800K, and my updated bank book showing a full year of transactions and standings.

Matthew Plymale I spent only a little longer in my Immigration, but WITHOUT an agent. New 1-year extension, 90-days report and purchase of a single re-entry permit, all in one sweep, done & dusted within 20-25 minutes

Marty Pollard . . true. . . . 2017 O/A holders profitted from the "grandfathering rule" for a couple of years, regarding the introduction of the mandatory health insurance for the Non-O/A visas and extensions at the end of 2016

Nigel Q. Reynolds There is nothing new except if you missed the change in 2016. The health insurance since 2016 has always been mandatory but only if you started out on a Non-O/A visa, and it is clearly separated on that list from the "retirement Non-Imm-O" extension for which NO health insurance is required

Gordon Gordon well you are correct in this discovery, that "guarantor" part and the C3 signed seems to be clearly office-specific for Nakhon Si Thammarat, as I have never seen anything like that listed before in the Immigration offices of Hua Hin and Sisaket

Dan Owens well, that "guarantor" part and the C3 signed for a "first" application to the extension, seems to be office-specific for Nakhon Si, as I have never seen anything like that listed before in the Immigration offices of Hua Hin and Sisaket

Leo Andreas Hoffmann not true, it is not the same all over Thailand. That "guarantor" part and the C3 from is unknown in my Immigration office in Sisaket and Ubon

Jeff Baillis you didn't "renew my visa". You just got a new 1-year extended stay permit issued
