TLDR : Answer Summary
The TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) can only be filled out within 3 days prior to your arrival. Since you are landing on May 1st, you will be able to complete the TDAC starting from April 28th. It's advised to wait until that date to fill in your details.

Nice, you tell that twat Darren Thailand where to go
Frank *********
You can do it on the 28th April the system goes live then I’m in the same situation I land may 1st early morning
Henrik *****
Wait until a week before travelling, then ( perhaps ) everything will be better informed, from your airline, travelagency, Thai Embassy websites etc.
Darren **********
Are you a grown adult? Why don’t you read the website and do it yourself?

@Darren *********
I am not sure why you are a member of an advisory group if all you want to be is rude when people seek advice.
Anna *********
Yes
Brandon ************
Did you even bother to read the website? You cannot fill it out more than 3 days in advance.
Andy *******
@Brandon ***********
does it not say submit at least 3 days before entry...SO! stands to reason some people will do weeks months in advance just to get it out of the way
Brandon ************
@Andy ******
It does not say submit at least 3 days before, so your entire premise is incorrect. And since the system does not allow you to select a date greater than 3 days away, it's obviously not intended.

They want where you'll be staying and when you will be arriving to be accurate, not something you planned 3 months ago then changed in the meantime and never went back and updated it.

@Brandon ***********
we will see BUT is this palaver going shorten the arrival queue that would be my main concern

With the QR code is there need to manual stamp in, now that would be beneficial
Brandon ************
@Andy ******
That's nowhere on the agenda. That was part of the ETA, not the TDAC. The TDAC is just turning a paper form digital.
Andy *******
@Brandon ***********
Sorry! but in that case this a complete waste of time and just an irritant nothing more I assumed and no I haven't read up on it as I'm not traveling from here till next year, I assumed the QR code was the arrival stamp or shortcut too.. SO ...more jumping through hoops for no discernable benefit for travellers . utter madness
Steve *******
@Andy ******
Tell that to the UK or US Government!
Brandon ************
@Andy ******
So you say you prefer to fill out the paper TM6 that they hand out in the airplane, while you try to find a pen and then have to hold half the form to hand back in when you leave? This new system is much better than the old TM6. And this system is similar to what MANY countries in the world use and more and more will be using in the future.
Andy *******
@Brandon ***********
with this i will close as i thought this was a visa not ,( very likely I am not alone) arrival paperwork...currently TM 6 is not used now is it ?and hotels report clients etc so it's more work for all concerned for as I said no benefit for anyone
Brandon ************
@Andy ******
TM6 suspension was always temporary. It was going to return and now it has
Henrik *****
In Thailand it is the norm, that new things are not publiced in detail until the last moment, before it comes into force.

So forget about doing anything in advance.

@Brandon ***********
so Mark, it can’t be filled in, saved on pc etc and sent three days before?

thanks paul

@Paul ***********
The calendar to choose your arrival date does not give you an option further than 3 days out. You can choose 0, 1, 2, or 3 days away for your arrival date. No it cannot be saved. It's like 4 questions.
