No deposit required, no insurance signup, nothing like that. 300 THB for the card (charged sometime within the month) and another 300-something THB for the annual fee. So, I guess you do need to deposit some cash to cover the card fee.

I guess you need a bit of luck with a landlord who has done TM30 for guests before.

I just skimmed through the application papers, but based on the documents I submitted, I wouldn’t have provided a Tax ID—so I’d say no?

On a side note, I showed them my DTV funds in another account, along with income statements, but they didn’t need them.
